Sachin-Warne
India’s star batsman Sachin Tendulkar will again enter the cricketing world, much to they delight of fans everywhere. Tendulkar will lead the MCC team against the Rest of the World, which will be led by ex-Australian player Shane Warne. The one-day match will take place at Lord’s on July 5.

The march is being held as a mark of celebration of the bicentenary celebrations of the historic club.

Honorary Member of MCC in 2010, Tendulkar is set to lead a side which has another batting legend, Rahul Dravid.
After his retirement from Test cricket, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has also played a tough match, during which he scored a commendable 188 runs for the Rest of the World team against the MCC in another bicentenary Test match at the Lord’s which was held way back in 1987.
The legendary competition between Tendulkar and Warne will come to life for a day as the Australian legend leads a team which also has the formidable Shaun Pollock of South Africa.
This is the second time Tendulkar will appear at Lord’s in this level. He has earlier played the role of captain for the Rest of the World team during the Lady Diana Memorial  Match in 1998, during which he scored a brilliant century.
In a statement, Tendulkar stated “It is an honour to be asked to captain the MCC side in such a prestigious fixture, and I am delighted to accept it”.
“Lord’s is such a special place to play cricket and I am very much looking forward to help celebrate its bicentenary by taking part in this match. I was delighted to be presented with an MCC Honorary Life Membership in 2010, and it will be a privilege to play at the Home of Cricket once again,” he added.
Warne, too, is thrilled to be playing the upcoming match.
“I always enjoy playing at Lord’s and as an Honourary Life Member of MCC I’m really excited about coming back,” Warne stated.
“I’m sure the match will be a lot of fun and it will be a pleasure to be part of the bicentenary celebrations of the most famous cricket ground in the world,” he said
