Kedar Jadhav, India's middle-order batsman, has been drafted into the squad for the fourth and fifth One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Windies after the Indian selectors were satisfied with his fitness. "After Jadhav has demonstrated his fitness, he's been included in the team for the 4th and 5th ODIs," Amitabh Choudhary, BCCI's acting secretary, said during the press conference on Friday (October 26).

Jadhav was not named in the 15-member ODI squad that was announced on Thursday (October 25). "I need to see why they didn't pick me. I have cleared all tests and that's why I played the match today," said a surprised Jadhav, who was playing in the Deodhar Trophy at that time.
"He is coming back from an injury which is why we asked him to play in the Duleep Trophy. We expected their team to go on to play the final which is why he's not a part of the third ODI but is part of the fourth and fifth ODIs," said MSK Prasad, India's chief selector.
Following a hamstring injury during the Asia Cup final, Jadhav had missed the first two ODIs against the Windies. He was fast-tracked into the India A team for the Deodhar Trophy.
While the squad for the last three ODIs was being announced, Jadhav was playing for India A. In his first outing after rehab, the right-hander scored a quickfire 41* off just 25 deliveries against India C. However his team lost the match and thereby failed to seal a spot in the final of the Deodhar Trophy.
