Ajith-Siva’s fourth film from their ‘V’ series, Viswasam, has been in the making for close to a year. The makers, in the film’s second look poster, have now confirmed that the film will finally hit screens for Pongal 2019.
Building up a slow momentum to its release, the film’s second look poster was released on Thursday, a couple of months after the launch of its first look. The second-look poster has a festive vibe to it with a younger looking Ajith riding a bullet and being cheered on by villagers.
The scene in the poster could be from an introduction or a celebration song in the film. The film’s first look poster saw Ajith in dual avatars – in salt-and-pepper and fully dyed black version; and both the looks featured Ajith twirling his moustache.
While there were rumours that Ajith would play dual roles in the film, sources close to the team have clarified that he merely appears in two different looks.
Following films like Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam, Ajith and Siva have joined forces once again, much to the excitement of their fans. Following the debacle of their previous film, Vivegam, the duo has pinned high hopes on this one.
Viswasam, however, will be made on a much lesser budget than Vivegam, which was a whopping Rs 120 crore action spectacle.
In a first time collaboration, D Imman has been finalised to compose music. The film also features Yogi Babu, Vivek, Kovai Sarla and Thambi Ramaiah, among others, in important roles.
Produced by Senthil and Arun Thyagarajan the film’s DOP has been done by Vetri Palaniswamy with Ruben editing it.
While Ajith awaits the release of Viswasam, there have been reports that Ajith might next join hands with Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru director H Vinoth or Prabhudeva for his next project.
